Scan tickets with a scanning link

This article is a step-by-step guide on how to scan event tickets in the Orbi app using a scanning link.

Event organizers can create a scanning link that allows anyone with the Orbi app to scan tickets at the event. This makes it simple for staff or volunteers to manage entry efficiently. Follow the steps below to start scanning tickets with a scanning link:

 

1. To scan tickets, you must first receive a scanning link from the event organizer.

2. Make sure you have the Orbi app downloaded on your smartphone.
- If the Orbi app isn’t installed, the link will guide you to download it. That’s why we recommend installing the app first.

3. Open the sent link on your mobile device to access scanning mode.

4. Position the highlighted frame over the participant’s ticket.
- If the ticket is valid and unused, the screen will turn green and display the participant’s name, email and the name of the event.
- If the ticket has already been used, the screen will turn red and a message will show when it was consumed. In this case, double-check the ticket holder’s name and the name of the event on the ticket to confirm it’s the right one.

5. If a ticket was marked as used by mistake, tap “Undo consume ticket.” The ticket will then be valid for scanning again.
